- - - Origins is a book that was created as a collaborative effort by Sean Laurence and Derek Joesph. Wanting to expand their horizons and creativity by writing. It's meant to be a fun story in a real world with real people.
- - - Those who were once called "Superheroes" have now been forced to live normal lives, to only use their powers or abilities to better man kind in the work force. Vigilantes are strictly prohibited and if caught will be punished by law. Two unordinary people change this when they embark on their own separate journeys and find it's better to team up and form a team to fight the evil that is coming, despite the consequences and the will of the world. |
The Universe of Origins
- - - The main point I want to convey with my story telling is to shatter the stereotypes of good and evil which are typically portrayed as being black and white. I want people to see that in this world (One that is uncannily similar to our own (right down to the geography)) there are gray areas and there isn’t always a right answer for doing what we feel as right. This story introduces these elements using a world where "Superheroes" exist, possibly the lead offender of black and white story telling.

Book Omicron - Origin of The Silver Shadow
Part One - Before the Storm
As Seth learns more about himself, speculating the reasons for his amnesia, a new threat appears: Fire Demons, along with a suspicious visitor in town with ice powers who wields a giant ice blade to combat them. Seth and his new friend Lucian, a humanoid looking Ice Demon, born of the now extinct Seiryu Clan, team up fight the Fire Demons with others, whose lives have been affected by their presence.
Part Two - Puzzle Pieces
Seth learns of his original purpose for existence and fights against the fear of what he could become to do the right thing. He learns of his origins, connecting to Lucian and the Seiryu, a race of ice Demons who willingly gave up their thrones in Hell, but also a greater evil: the source of the Fire Demons, and their master, The Umbra King.
Part Three - Changed
After embarking on the Adventure through time that changed his life, Seth must pull together with the friends he has made on the way to start the resistance known as The Chaos Brigade.
